Bright Sparks

Well I’ve had a bit of a break from comics but 2010 is looking to shape up to be the year of comic goodness! Lot’s of stuff in the pipeline.

First off is a new kids comic that myself and Melbourne writer Jen Breach (Sawbones) are beginning to pitch around to magazines. I posted a couple of pencils earlier but here are the final coloured pages, enjoy!

Third Eye Beetle

An illustration that I completed a while ago but never got around to doing anything with it. This was probably the first of the ‘multiple eyed old man’ art that I’ve been doing a bit of lately.

The Embrace

A recent submission for positive-posters.com based around the theme ‘change’. Was fun to work in different style then I’m used to.

Mail Art

I recently saw a post on Drawn about the Mail Me Art project and thought I’d contribute. Needless to say a scene was made at the post office when I went to post this.

Fiesta Ahoy

A recent poster for Brisbane club The Globe to help kick off the Valley Fiesta.

The promoter was looking for something similar to another pirate piece I had done and I was more than happy to re-visit that theme. Yaaar!

Had the opportunity to submit some pages to the ‘Paper Life Boat’ comic exhibition here in Melbourne, curated by Jo Wait and Bernard Caleo. I particularly like this pic of a large green patron enjoying my pages. more pics here
